Learning about electricity
This is what JSV learned about electricity this week.
• If you want to make a light glow you have to make a circuit.
• It can be dangerous.
• To make some things work you need electricity.
• Electricity comes from power lines, sun (solar panels), lightening and batteries.
• If you are going to make a circuit it will not work without a battery.
• Batteries can be different.
• Batteries have + and – on them.
• If you use two strong batteries it can blow the light.
• Metal conducts electricity the best.
• Ruler does not conduct electricity.
• Most things made out of metal conduct electricity.

How do we hear?
Today (Tuesday 13th of July) we were lucky to have Romana come to our class and explain to us how we hear and why it's important. We looked at the way out ears work and what we can do to help us hear if they don't work properly. We also had a go at listening through a hearing aid to see what it sounds like for someone who is hearing impaired.
