This Friday we made some very yummy ANZAC biscuits. Thank you very much to Mrs Munnings and Mrs Scaife for helping us cook all the biscuits. We discovered that the biscuits were made for soldiers by their families in Australia out of ingredients that lasted a long time. That way when the soldiers got the biscuits they were still good to eat. We also read about Simpson and his donkey Duffy who helped carry the hurt soldiers to safety during World War 1. Then we had a look at the flags of some of the countries that were involved in WW1 and where they are on the map.
